Cynthia Nixon (Sex and the City) and Daniel O’Donnell (Rosie O’Donnell’s brother and NY State Assemblyman) appeared with HRC, Obama Pride and SayNo2 volunteers at Mills Pond Park Sunday, November 2. Cynthia spoke at Mills Pond, Rosie’s and later Art Serve early voting site in E. Sunrise Blvd. in Ft. Lauderdale on why it was important to get out the vote for Obama. We had about 12 volunteers reminding everyone who has not yet early voted to support Senator Obama’s campaign and to defeat Florida harmful Marriage “protection” Amendment… Know as Amendment 2. Cynthia said, “If Bill Clinton was our first black President, then Barak Obama will be our first gay President.”

The HRC volunteers later went to Rosie’s Bar and Grill on Wilton Dr. in Wilton Manors and canvassed Sunday afternoon hotspots, including New Moon, Georgie’s Alibi, Java Boys, Bills Filling Station and Sideline’s Sports Bar.
