The mission of THE COOPERATIVE FEEDING PROGRAM : To be part of a seamless system of care, in Broward County, Florida, to reduce the pain and suffering of individuals and families in poverty by providing necessary food, ancillary services and referrals. This award winning agency, which celebrates 23 years of service in September 2008, served over 1.3 MILLION meals in 2006 to the hungry and homeless. We also provided individual counseling, food stamp assistance, job referrals and an emergency life-net for families in southern Florida.

Who we are
When families fall into economic hardship, The Cooperative Feeding Program provides counseling and support to help them out of the throes of difficult times. Our diverse family center offers them hope, contact with community-wide services, and emotional support.
With 1 in 6 residents in Broward County experiencing hunger, we provide a variety of services, a LifeNet, to help them back on their feet. We never charge a fee for our services and are here 365 days a year. Our services include:
*Emergency food boxes
*Hot meals in our community kitchen
* Clothing, personal items and hygiene supplies
*School uniforms and backpacks
*Counseling
*Showers
*Referals for housing and temporary shelter

Cost: Adult tickets: $25 minimum donation.
Child/Young Adults tickets: FREE! Each child is required to bring (1) bag of personal hygiene products, clothing, toys or other unused household goods and (1) bag of canned or non-perishable foods or help raise $$ through their own website (like this one).
On Feb 15th, everyone will enjoy an authentic Italian buffet prepared by my "family" and followed by an award ceremony where we present every child that participates with a Community Service Award.
This is an event for the whole family! Casual dress! Silent Auction/Chinese Auction with lots for the kids. Cookie decorating and other activities.
Dinner is served at 5:00 sharp!
