Welcome to Family Pet Medical Center. We are a full-service, small Fort Lauderdale, Florida animal hospital and veterinary practice. We provide primary care, surgical, in-patient, and boarding services at our facility. While the bulk of our patients are dogs and cats, it is not unusual to find a ferret, a raccoon, a pig, or a skunk taking up residence in one of our little animal cages while they get the rest and care they need, to feel better.

Sharon Glass, DVM, has been a practicing veterinarian for over 20 years. Dr. Glass trained at the University of Illinois and moved to the Fort Lauderdale area fifteen years ago. Dr. Glass performed relief work and was a staff veterinarian at Capitol Plaza Animal Hospital prior to working at Family Pet Medical Center. She is owner and President of her practice. Dr. Glass is married, has two lovely kids, Justin & Kara, and a Yorkie named Rose (her pride and joy).
Javier Gonzalez, DVM, trained in St. Kitts. Dr. Gonzalez specializes in primary care and internal medicine at Family Pet Medical Center.
Erin Leff, DVM, is one of our most popular and beloved relief veterinarians. Dr. Leff also provides acupuncture and complementary therapies in addition to conventional internal medicine.
Family Pet Medical Center is conveniently located just north of NE 26th Street across the street from Best Buy and Bed, Bath, & Beyond.

Saturday: 9:00am - 2:00pm
Sunday: CLOSED
For critically ill animals in the hospital, extended visiting hours are available by special request.
